JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, July 22: Jammu region today reported 20 COVID positive cases, lowest in the second wave and no casualties while Kashmir recorded one death and 64 new positives and the Union Territory of Ladakh registered four cases.
While Ramban and Samba districts in Jammu region didn’t report any fresh cases, all other eight districts recorded new positive cases in single-digit.
Among 20 new cases in the region, eight were reported from Doda district, five Jammu, two Reasi and one each in Udhampur, Rajouri, Kathua, Kishtwar and Poonch districts.
However, as against 20 new cases, 51 COVID patients recovered from the virus, the highest 26 in Jammu district, eight Rajouri, six each Poonch and Reasi, two each in Udhampur and Kishtwar and one in Doda district.
Jammu region now has 613 active positive cases only. As many as 1,18,621 patients have recovered from the virus while there have been 2138 casualties.
The fatalities include 1139 in Jammu district followed by 225 in Rajouri, 150 Kathua, 135 Udhampur, 124 Doda, 119 Samba, 94 Poonch, 66 Ramban and 43 each in Reasi and Kishtwar districts.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported four new COVID positive cases—two each in Leh and Kargil districts.
No casualties have been reported from Ladakh for the past about a fortnight.
Ladakh’s Corona count now stood at 20282. However, the UT has only 91 active positive cases as 19985 COVID patients have been treated and there were 206 fatalities.
The deaths include 148 in Leh and 58 in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 64 fresh cases of COVID-19 while one person succumbed to the virus.
Srinagar reported 31 cases, Baramulla 9, Budgam 7, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 1 and Shopian 1.
Srinagar has 71089 positive cases with 370 active, 69887 recovered, 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23517 positive cases with 102 active, 23133 recovered, 282 deaths; Budgam reported 22828 positive cases with 78 active cases, 22546 recovered, 204 deaths; Pulwama has 15120 positive cases with 70 active, 14856 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14027 positive cases, 52 active, 13810 recoveries, 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16301 positive cases with 78 active, 16018 recovered, 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9455 positive cases, with 66 active, 9289 recoveries, 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9837 positive cases with 61 active, 9698 recoveries and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11217 positive cases with 15 active, 11085 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5577 positive cases with 08 active cases, 5511recoveries and 58 deaths.
Moreover, 172 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 121 from Kashmir Division.
