JAMMU, July 22: National School of Drama alumni, dedicated theatre director and designer, Gagandeep today featured at 45th episode of Natrang’s National Theatre Talk Show ‘Young Voices of Theatre’ at Facebook page of the theatre group.
Director Natrang, Balwant Thakur informed that all the outstanding speakers of this unique talk show are highly acclaimed because of their brilliant work.
A gold medalist from the Department of Theatre and TV, Punjabi University, Patiala, Gagandeep further honed her skills of theatre in design and direction from NSD.
She had her work experience from Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London and has been directing and designing for National and International ventures.
Presently she is serving as Assistant Professor at the Department of Drama, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.
In a candid conversation with Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee actor and Natrang’s senior artist, Anil Tickoo, Gagandeep narrated her journey of theatre which started in childhood at school level.
She opines that nature teaches a lot and learning is not confined to the classroom only, one has to be observant to learn from the surroundings and the people around.
She also shares that being a theatre teacher, other than developing the artistic capabilities of students she always tries to inculcate compassion and humanity in them.
Natrang’s creative team managing this national event includes Suresh Kumar, Neeraj Kant, Anil Tickoo, Sumeet Sharma, Sanjeev Gupta, Vikrant Sharma, Mohd Yaseen, Brijesh Avtar Sharma, Gauri Thakur and Chander Shekhar.
