JAMMU, July 22: The protest-dharna of ASCOMS Employees Welfare Association entered 9th day today.
Addressing the protesting employees, Harbans Choudhary, senior leader of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) said that management of ASCOMS Hospital and Medical College, Sidhra (Jammu) has not implemented the agreement which it has signed with the Association on 1-8-2019.
He said that even formal order was issued on 24-4-2021 that too after long correspondence and number of meetings held between the Association leaders and the management of ASCOMS. Harbans Choudhary stressed upon the Management to honor its commitment and implement the agreement so that industrial relation remains cordial otherwise in coming days agitation will be intensified.
Further, Ashok Choudhary (Sangthan Mantri, BMS) stated that the Labour Court passed an award in the year 2017 and award was duly notified by issuing gazette notification and was forwarded to Assistant Labour Commissioner Jammu for implementation but Labour Department utterly failed to implement the same.
Alleging that the Management is intentionally not implementing the agreement which has been signed by both the parties, He asked the Management to behave with responsibility in the interest of Institution the functioning of which has been affected severely for last about 10 days. He warned of intensifying the agitation in coming days.
Sachin Bali (general secretary of ASCOMS Employees Welfare Association), Rakesh Chouhan (president of the Association) and Suresh Raina also addressed the workers.
