RAJOURI, Jan 11: One person was killed while three others were injured in two road accidents in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that a mini bus (Canter), bearing registration No. JK-11E/0075 rolled down into a Nallah at a sharp curve near Div Headquarters of the Army while moving towards Gujjar Mandi Chowk from Old Bus Stand in Rajouri town this evening.
The driver of the vehicle, Mohd Kushal, son of Nazir Hussain of Chingus and two others sustained injuries. They were rushed to GMC Hospital, Rajouri where driver Mohd Kushal succumbed to the injuries. The injured Naresh Kumar of Rajouri town and another (unknown) were undergoing treatment at Rajouri hospital. The Police has taken cognizance.
Meanwhile, a BRO labourer Mohd Khan, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Niali village in Manjakote was injured when he was hit by a Maruti car JK02H/8584 near Khanna Market Manajkote. He was shifted to PHC Manjakote and later referred to GMC, Rajouri. The police has registered a case.
