One dies, 151 test +ve in J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Sept 8:One person died of COVID-19 and 130 tested positive in Kashmir division while 21 fresh cases were reported in the Jammu region and five in Ladakh.
Among 21 cases in Jammu division, six were reported from Rajouri, four each in Doda and Jammu, two each in Poonch, Ramban and Reasi and one in Kishtwar district while no new cases were recorded in Udhampur, Kathua and Samba districts.
Kathua is the only district in the Jammu region with no active positive cases at present.
Twenty persons today recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,23,214 Corona cases. Among them, 252 are active positives as 1,20,796 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2166 casualties.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported five new Corona positive cases including three in Kargil and two in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 48 active positive cases—41 in Leh and seven in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 130 fresh cases of COVID-19.
One person who was suffering from Corona died at SMHS hospital in Srinagar today.
Those who tested positive include 75 from Srinagar, 31 from Baramulla, 7 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 2 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 4 from Bandipora, 2 from Ganderbal and 5 from Kulgam.
As per officials figures, 72,838 positive cases including 837 deaths and 71,443 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,020 including 282 deaths and 23,582 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,294 including 22,956 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,368 including 15,142 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,266 including 166 deaths and 14,076 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,461 including 16,235 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,658 cases including 9,526 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,152 including 10,054 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,438 including 11,300 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,601 including 5,538 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 203,096 including 199,852 recoveries and 2,245 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,251 including 999 from Kashmir division.
With 163 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 320,648, which is 98.26 percent of the total cases.
