KATHUA, July 29: One person committed suicide in Ramkote today by hanging himself with a tree outside his house.
He has been identified as Dhani Ram, 55, S/O Bindhu of Ramkote. Bindo was working as a laborer and was a habitual drinker. A father of five children, Dhani had a quarrel with his family last night after he came to his house in an intoxicated condition.
In the morning he left the house and later his body was seen hanging with a tree behind his house.
The Ramkote Police took the body under its custody and registered a case under Section 174b CRPC. The body was later handed over to family for last rites after Postmortem at Sub District Hospital Billawar.
Another person consumed some poisonous substance at his residence in Sangwal village of Vijaypur area. He has been identified as Suresh Kumar, 31, S/O Yash Paul. He was shifted by the family to Emergency Hospital Vijaypur where from doctors referred him to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment as his condition was serious. The Vijaypur Police has taken the cognizance of the same.
