One buried alive, 6 others of family injured as Kaccha house collapses

REASI, July 2: A middle aged man was buried alive while 6 others of the family, including three children, sustained injuries when a Kaccha house collapsed in Mangikote area of Chassana in Reasi district, last night.
Two of the injured were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition while four others are undergoing treatment at the local Primary Health Centre.
One buffalo and one ox were also buried alive in this catastrophe that took place at village Sukka in Mangikote area of Chassana, during the intervening night of 1st and 2nd July.
As per the information, one person namely Soba Ram (55 years), son of Janak Singh of Sukka, Mangikote was buried alive under debris when his house suddenly collapsed last night.
Neelo Devi (48), wife of Soba Ram and Rattan Singh (45), son of Jagat Ram were seriously injured in the incident and both of them were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for treatment.
Four other members of the family, including Punjao Devi (35), wife of Rattan Singh, Shoka Devi (14), daughter of Rattan Singh, Raksha Devi (8), daughter of Rattan Singh and Babita Devi (10), daughter of Soba Ram also sustained injuries in the mishap. They were shifted to the local hospital and discharged after first aid.
