Omar likely to be shifted

Excelsior Correspondent
Srinagar, Jan 15: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is likely to be shifted tomorrow from Hari-Niwas sub-jail in Srinagar to a Government building close to his Gupkar residence.
Omar is lodged since August 5 at Hari-Niwas that was declared a sub-jail by the authorities. The decision to shift Omar is being taken in view of the harsh winter conditions.
Police today conducted anti-sabotage check of M-4 Government accommodation on Gupkar which is nearer to Omar’s residence.
His father and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah has also been serving detention since August 5. He is booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and is lodged at his Gupkar residence.
