JAMMU, Apr 3: Anil Gupta, president JKDF and its candidate from Kathua –Doda constituency, today accused the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government’s faulty policies for the plight of unemployed educated youth in the State.
Addressing election rallies and road shows at while holding the public meetings at Mansar, Billawar and border village of Kandi Hiranagar in Kathua district, he said the future of the youth ahs been turned totally bleak with these policies.
Stating that the flaunty commitment was made by Ghulam Nabi Azad of providing jobs to the three lakh youth, coupled with the announcement of two lakh jobs and lowering the minimum required educational standard to middle level for recruitment into the police, he said these all commitments have proved hollow as thousands of youths have been cheated this way after making the trips of the offices of Employment Department.
He said all their hopes were dashed to the ground. Lashing out at NC-Congress coalition Anil Gupta said, the employment policy of the State Government which provides one fourth of salary in the first three years of after appointment and half of the salary for other two years and that too for non pensionable posts, has harmed the future of the youth of the State. Central package of one lac employments to youth is yet to see the light, he added.
Anil  Gupta pointed out that as per official figures the number of unemployed in the State which was recorded at 1.6 lakh about five years back, has now gone up to over 6 lakh.  The Government schemes are falling short in mitigating the woes of the unemployed.  He recalled that even the election promises in this regard are not being kept by the ruling parties although they had promised so many jobs and also subsistence allowance in case of unemployment.
He said the discrimination against Jammu in the matter of recruitment is being often made to debar the youth of earning their livelihood.
Corruption is ruling the roost in Jammu & Kashmir, as in past five years of NC- Congress coalition Government’s rule at  least a dozen scams and several cases of corruptions against the ministers have come in light.  This reflects the kind of governance the coalition has given to people, he added.
