JAMMU, Apr 2: The Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Tanvir Sadiq today said that State Coalition Government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah is committed to the welfare of the people with special focus on those living in far flung and remote areas.
In the last four years, the Government has empowered the people and given them the right to know and the right to question in the quest to bring transparency and accountability in the system, he said in a statement to press.
Tanvir said RTI and Public Services Guarantee Acts, giving powers to Accountability Commission, is aimed to empower the people and provide them an opportunity to have their problems redressed in a time bound manner.
Taking a dig at the opposition he said “opposition when in Government promoted corruption in the State” adding that “once the NC- led Government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah took over, since then a transparent system has been introduced in State administration”
“Our adversaries have been nurturing falsehood and unleashing unfounded propaganda to astray the people for vested interests” adding “ they have a homework now carved for itself, and that is to circulate false rumours and publish concocted stories” said Political Secretary.
