Omar failed to honour Cong commitments: Soz

AKHNOOR, Dec 13:   Former Union Minister and PCC president Prof Saiffudin Soz has promised fully empowered Regional Development Councils as described by PHE Minister and Congress candidate Sham Lal Sharma, a torch bearer of Jammu’s aspirations.
Addressing huge election meeting at Akhnoor, Prof  Soz while admitting BJP senior leader and defeated candidate  Ram Saroop Sharma along with city NC president, Kali Dass Verma and their hundreds of supporters has repledged that to address regional aspirations Regional Development Councils next to State Assembly, enjoying fully all constitutional powers will be his party agenda. He said  that Jammu grievances and their denied rights shall be given due regards and appealed for massive popular mandate to Congress to form next Government.
Prof Soz said Congress in coalition with NC has suffered  because Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister failed to honor Congress commitments on more powers to Panchyati Raj System, Food Security Bill and other issues of popular betterments. He admitted that Congress at the time of alliance could not lay down condition of rotational Chief Minister to enable itself to fulfilled her manifesto.
Prof Soz claimed that his party which always worked to maintain secular integration of three regions of the State will not allow communal agenda of BJP to succeed.  Amidst thousands Congress supporters raising slogans of    ” Jammu Ki Mazboori Hai, Sham Lal ki Jeet Jaroori Hai”,  Prof Soz assured the people of Akhnoor that they should vote him to guarantee his landslide victory as he will be given bigger governmental responsibilities to fulfill  their aspirations.  Prof  Soz declared, Mr Sham Sharma as Congress party’s most competent leader and close confident whose deep concern for Jammu region has always impressed him.
Welcoming PCC chief Prof Soz and BJP leader  Ram Saroop Sharma Mr Sham said that Congress has capacity to take all the people along. He asked the people to defeat the nefarious designs of BJP and its leadership.  He repledged his services to Jammu people and reiterated that Congress who in their manifesto have Regional Development Councils, package for POJK refugees. Reservation for resident of IB is just beginning  in right direction to see justice to Jammu delivered.  Senior leader Madan Lal Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
