JAMMU, Feb 6: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and the working president of National Conference Omar Abdullah was today unanimously elected as the Leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Legislature Party.
Omar Abdullah was elected the Leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Legislature Party (NCLP) at a specially convened meeting of the newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly in Jammu.
“Party general secretary Ali Mohammed Sagar proposed the name of Omar Abdullah while Devender Singh Rana seconded it. The members endorsed the candidature of Omar unanimously,” a party spokesman said.
Mian Altaf Ahmed was elected as Chief Whip of the Legislature Party.
