Om, symbolically embodies the divine energy, or Shakti, and its three main characteristics: creation, preservation, and liberation. The mantra, or vibration, derives from Hinduism and is considered to have high spiritual and creative power. Chanting of the Om Mantra purifies the environment around you and creates positive vibrations. The Om not only benefits the person who is chanting it but also to the people around them wherever its vibrations flow. It cleanses your aura. It can place you in a meditational state which gives you deep relaxation. The movement of energy regulates the chemicals in our brains. The mantras have both psychological and physiological effects on your body.

Ensures Sound Sleep
Stress and hectic lifestyle impact your lifestyle badly. Late nights of working and waking up late in the morning disturb your overall body cycle. You can improve your sleep and wake up the pattern by practicing Om chanting regularly. It not only ensures that you fall asleep quickly, but also that you get sound and enough sleep.

When you chant Om, you sort of detach yourself from the whole world putting aside all your worries and tensions. With regular chanting, your mind becomes focused on this small Sanskrit word. Chanting of Omkar is one of the best effective treatments for thyroid problems. The vibration from the vocal cards affects the thyroid directly and regulates and stimulates its function. Regular Om chanting for 15 – 30 minutes gives a good progress. Also listening to Om chanting throughout night is very effective. The results of OM chanting along with Bhramari pranayama suggest that it can also be considered and included as a regular breathing exercise to improve pulmonary function which is not exist so far.
