JAMMU, Nov 4: Troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) Kishtwar today arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) from Sangram Bhata in Kishtwar district and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
Arrested OGW has been identified as Asif Mustafa son of Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Sangram Bhata, near Kishtwar town.
He was working as an OGW for the Hizbul Mujahideen militants.
A joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and SOG Kishtwar raided the hideout of Mustafa and arrested him. From his possession, they recovered one pistol, 54 rounds, one hand grenade and literature of Hizbul Mujahideen.
Police have registered a case against the OGW for further investigations.
The OGW had concealed the arms and ammunition inside a specially designed Wardrobe in his house at Sangram Bhata.
