Observe Oct 22 as Black Day against Pak invasion in 1947: JKUF

JAMMU, Oct 20: J&K Unity Foundation (JKUF) has appealed to the people of J&K to observe black day on October 22 to pay respects to lakh of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims who were killed by Pakistan army in 1947.
JKUF will be holding a webinar in a series titled ‘Pakistan’s Military Invasion not Tribal Raid of Jammu and Kashmir’ on October 22.
In a handout, Ajaat Jamwal, president, JKUF said, efforts of the organization have bore fruit and government of India too has decided to observe protests against genocidal war by “rogue nation Pakistan” on Oct 22, 1947 against India.
He informed that veteran POJK leader Yuvraj Gupta, Maj. Gen G.S Jamwal (Rtd), the only General from J&K State Forces, Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Tariq Ahmed, president Jiyo Aur Jeene Do, Advocate Monika Kohli, Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma and Usman Kayani, President United Kashmir Peoples National Party along with expert speakers will dwell at length the atrocities committed by the Pakistani army on the people of Jammu and it becomes more relevant in the present times when the Government of India took a historic decision to abrogate the regressive Article 370.
