JAMMU, June 14: National Youth Corps (NYC) Association today held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State vice president Asif Ali Bhat pertaining to their demands.
While speaking, Asif Ali Bhat said 8000 NYCs were engaged with different Government Departments and have rendered 2 years service and now the Government is implementing use and throw policy, which is not bearable at all.
He demanded regularization of their services under perfect policy, enhancement in honorarium and continuation of their service in the same departments they were serving in.
During the meeting, Bhat also announced the chain-wise protest calendar. He said that in Jammu, the protest will be held on June 18, in Kathua on June 19, in Rajouri on June 20, in Samba on June 21, in Doda on June 22, in Kishtwar on June 24, in Udhampur on June 25, in Poonch on June 26, in Doda on June 27 and in Ramban on June 28.
He warned that if their demands were not redressed then they will launch a crusade against the Government and also gherao Minister, MLAs and MLCs in their respective constituencies.
Among others who spoke were Jagdeep Singh, Mushtaq Bhat, Sunil Chouhan, Sunil Rajput, Varinder Kour, Deepika Sharma and Rabina Khajuria.
