JAMMU, Sept 23: On the eve of ‘International Peace Day’ theatre group ‘Ek Sath Rang Mandal’ here today staged Vijay Malla’s new progressive Nukad play ‘Aman Pasand’.
The play highlighted the importance of peace and started with patriotic song ‘Sarey Jahan Sey Acha…’
Speaking on the occasion Shiv Bharati, a peace preacher described the importance and history of International Peace Day.
He said that this day was also contributed to education which can further aid the peace to prevail in the world.
Bharati also explained the story of Dove or White Pigeon, which is a symbol of peace.
A handout stated that people enjoyed and appreciated the contents of the play.
Artists who performed in the play were Kanta Sharma, Vikram Rajwal, Raju Mad, Happy Gupta, Ashok Sharma and Vijay Malla.
