NSUI protests against fee hike

KISHTWAR, July 14: Demanding consideration of downloaded examination forms at Kishtwar as well as rollback of increased examination and re-evaluation fee in the Jammu University, the NSUI activists held a strong protest demonstration, here today.
Shouting slogans in support of their demands, the protesting NSUI activists also torched an effigy of JU vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar for his alleged lackluster approach towards genuine issues of the students.
The NSUI activists, led by district president Prakash Singh Dadwal, alleged black marketing of examination forms in Kishtwar and said that despite repeated requests, the college authorities were not accepting the online forms, downloaded from JU website while the university was also not doing the needful in this regard. Further, the university has increased the examination and reevaluation fee thus forcing the NSUI to lodge protest, he added.
Those who took part in the protest included Ikhlaq Hussain, Imtiaz Tapal, Jahangir Hassan, Umar Usman, Sheikh Abid, Pardeep Kumar, Mehran Anjum, Mir Khurshid, Arshad Ahmad and others.
