NSUI national president from J&K accorded rousing reception

JAMMU, Nov 9:  A grand reception was accorded to  J&K youth, Fairoz Khan on his first visit to his home State after becoming national president NSUI.
He is the first one from J&K to become NSUI National president. The reception was given by Pradesh Congress Committee, PYC, Mahila Congress and NSUI J&K unit members. A large number of Congress leaders, workers, Youth Congress,  Mahila Congress workers and NSUI activists gathered at Jammu Airport and accorded grand welcome to Fairoz Khan by garlanding and beating drums from where the reception rally in the form of procession starting from Airport on bikes, proceeded  to PCC office at Residency Road.
During the procession, the reception teams lead by Neeraj Kundan, State president NSUI, PYC chief Pranav Shagotra, Varinder Chib,  Ajay Kumar, Vishal Kotwal and others gave reception to  Khan at different locations during the rally.
The grand rally was received by team of PCC under the leadership of  Gulam Ahmad Mir, PCC president, who was accompanied by  Sham Lal Sharma (Senior vice president PCC J&K),  Raman Bhalla (Vice president PCC),  Ravinder Sharma (chief spokes person J&K), Indu Pawar (President Mahila Congress),  Majeet Wani (former minister), Shiv Kumar Sharma (president INTUC) and others.

Later, the main function was held at PCC headquarters where   G A Mir,  Sham Sharma,  Raman Bhalla, PYC and NSUI president addressed the gathering. The proceedings of the programme was conducted by . Iftikhar Ahmad, All India Election Commissioner NSUI & IYC).      It commenced with welcome address by Neeraj Kundan, State president NSU and Udhay Chib national general secretary and  Vishal Chowdary, National Secretary  NSUI from Harayana.
PCC chief while  addressing the gathering congratulated Fairoz Khan on being appointed as a national president. He also thanked Rahul Gandhi, who appointed a boy from far flung area of Pogal Paristan in District  Ramban as national president NSUI. He said  Fairoz Khan is the first one from J&K State to be appointed as National president NSUI which clearly reflects the vision of  Rahul Gandhi who has opened the door of politics to the youth of common family and Fairoz Khan is the source of inspiration for all youth of J&K.
Fairoz Khan extended gratitude to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who have given him a responsibility to led the world’s  largest student organisation. He also thanked PCC, PYC  and NSUI activist who whole heartedly supported and gave  warm reception.
