JAMMU, Apr 2: National Student Union of India (NSUI), National president, Neeraj Kundan today, launched nation-wide NSUI campaign “Naukri Do, Ya Degree Vapis Lo” at Press Club of Jammu here.
While adressing media conference, NSUI president said that Jammu and Kashmir has second highest unemployment rate of 14.2%. He said students are in despair. The situation is worsening and students are depressed. The reason behind is is most shocking as the BJP Govt has no policy for the unemployed educated youth. This young lot is no priority of this Government. Even the J&K Administration has not given any preference to resolve the issue of increasing unemployment. He said the students are feeling duped with the Govt’s fake promise of providing 50,000 jobs in J&K. Click here to watch video
Kundan further added that about 70% of the youth in J&K are unemployed. He said that about 90,000 government jobs are vacant but there are no recruitments for these vacant posts since long.
NSUI leader said, ” Jammu is my native place as well. I have seen the hardships faced by the students here. J&K faces neglect considering its geographical aspect. It is important for the BJP Govt to understand that the first priority in any govt or private job should be given to the natives and the surrounding border students.”
Neeraj Kundal disclosed that the main motive of launching this campaign in J&K is to remind the BJP Govt that the students here are well equipped and educated with their degrees and now it’s time for them to address the issue of unemployment and provide proper opportunities to them. While launching the campaign, Kundan also issued a toll free number +91 7290800850 in this regard. He said that all unemployed youngsters can give a miss call to register themselves with the movement of NSUI.
State president of NSUI Sunny Parihar assured that he will take this campaign to the grass root level.
He said the NSUI appeals the BJP Govt to look into the matter and provide solution to this most burning issue of youth with respect to the unemployment otherwise, the J&K unit of NSUI will be compelled to come down on streets and protest for their rights.
