JAMMU, July 14: J&K UT president of NSUI Sunny Parihar condemned police action on agitating 10th class students at Tawi bridge in Jammu yesterday.
Addressing press conference here today Parihar said that attack on students at Tawi bridge and Bikram Chowk by police was highly condemnable. He said the incident of lathicharge on minors was very shameful and unacceptable by civil societies and student unions. This act really shocked the million minds that police indulged in unlawful act by lathicharging minors and it amounts to criminal act.

He added that the 10th standard students were on peaceful protest from last many days but not even a single administrative officer had come to address their grievances . He blamed present Government for all the mishappening and told that such incident had taken place for the first time in the history and termed it as black day in J&K.
Parihar added that the JKBOSE Chairman already made commitment with the 10th and 12th standard students for promoting them due to Corona protocols but that was only a lollipop for the students and majority students got unexpected results which the JKBOSE had made on the basis of two subjects for whom exam was conducted .
National students’ Union of India, J&K president Sunny Parihar extended support to the 10th standard students over this genuine issue and assure them that organisation will fight against the injustice faced by them.
He sought personal intervention of LG Manoj Sinha in this matter. He urged for justice to the students 10th and strict action against those police official who misused their power against students.
Other prominent leaders who participated in the conference were Vishu Charak, Sourav Verma, Ajay Lakhotra, Kanav Sharma, Tableen Boparai and Aleem Chowdhar.
