NAGROTA, Aug 21: Prominent residents of Nagrota today joined the sit-in-dharna to press their demand for early resumption of work on the Degree College announced last year, regretting that non-serious approach of the administration is forcing the people to take agitational path.
“We will continue our protests as it concerns the future of our children who too deserve a level playing field for achieving academic excellence, which can be achieved only when the facilities are available at door steps”, the opinion leaders, sitting on dharna said.
Being held under the aegis of Nagrota Sangarash Samiti, the protestors pledged to intensify their peaceful stir in favour of the demand about early execution of work on the Government Degree College here, and expressed concern over the lackadaisical approach of the Higher Education Department in implementing the Government decision. The department cannot take the people-for-granted and ignore the decision which has been taken with due consideration in the larger interest of the student community, they said.
