JAMMU, Aug 21: Giving momentum to development of the area, Chairman Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Sanitation Wing and senior BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the work of road and culvert on Gangyal-Babliana main road in Gandhi Nagar constituency near here, today.
While speaking on the occasion, he said that these were old demands of the people which have been fulfilled. Billawaria said that the pace of development had slowed down due to COVID-19 but now again the development started gaining momentum even though earlier many development works have been done in areas which are giving great relief to the people. Many deep drains were constructed in the area and many more drains will be constructed in the coming days, he added.
He said that every work has been done in a better way from repairing roads to black topping and power project systems to installation of street lights. He said that the most important thing is that Gangyal is the first such ward of Jammu city which has been made dustbin free and in the days to come, other wards of the city will also be made dustbin free.
Ranjit Singh, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Om Nath, Rakesh Sangral, Karan Singh, Charan Das, Gulchain Singh, Surjit Kumar, Rajinder Singh, Sunny Sharma were also present on the occasion.
