NSF seeks CM’s intervention

JAMMU, Sept 25: National Secular Forum (NSF) has sought intervention of Chief Minister in the prevailing mess in Jammu University (JU) owing to nepotism and favouritism coupled with corrupt mindset of the authorities.
Addressing a press conference, Amit Sanotra, State Secretary, NSF said that creation of one post of Assistant Professor in Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) in the subject of Sociology whereby the then Director of DDE had recommended the post in the subject of Statistics.
He said that JU authorities deliberately made the change i.e. from Statistics to Sociology for personal reasons, adding that the decision was challenged in the Court of Law and High Court while admitting the petition issued notice to University of Jammu.
He stated that the creation of one post of Statistics was very urgent as the subject of Statistics being taught exclusively at the level of undergraduate part I, II, III.
