JAMMU, Mar 31: National Secular Forum today protested against the Government for its alleged callous attitude towards the Jammu region by not creating posts for satellite campuses of Jammu University.
Addressing the protester Dr Vikas Sharma, State president of NSF said that politics is being played and again the Jammu region is being neglected giving more importance to Kashmir region. He alleged that the Government has not yet created any post for the satellite campuses of the University of Jammu whereas Kashmir University campuses have got the same.
“The Government had called a meeting for satellite campuses of the Kashmir University and the requisite posts have been created whereas no similar exercise has been carried for the satellite campuses of JU,” he rued.
Alleging that the Government was showcasing regional bias, Vikas said, “It is the outcome of Kashmir centric politics and the Government is intentionally ignoring the aspirations of Jammu region. We have more number of scholars and deserving candidates waiting an entry to the education system but they have been debarred.” He also criticized the Jammu based politicians and leaders for not raising the issue.
