JAMMU, Aug 17: National Secular Forum organized an impressive programme, wherein it paid tributes to Madan Lal Dhingra, who had laid his life for the welfare of the country.
Amid slogans ‘Madan Lal Dhingra Amar Rahe’, ‘Inqulaab Zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, the gathering paid tributes to Shaheed Dhingra and garlanded the portraits of the son of soil.
Dr Vikas Sharma, State president NSF was the chief guest, while Shafqat Malik, general secretary was the guest of honour. Nitin Chandel, chairman University Unit presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vikas Sharma said that the real tributes to the martyrs would be by eradicating evils prevailing in the society like drug addiction, female feticide and dowry. He exhorted the youth to refrain from drugs and intoxicants. He also threw light on the profile of Martyr Dhingra. Shafqat Malik, general secretary NSF, also spoke on the occasion, while Vikram Madhyal presented the welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by Balveer Kumar.
