JAMMU, Nov 17: Jammu University unit of National Secular Forum today observed the martyrdom day of Lala Lajpat Rai who sacrificed his life for the country.
A programme in this connection was organized on the campus wherein NSF paid tributes to the freedom fighter amidst patriotic slogans and garlanding the portrait of Lala Lajpat Rai.
Ankush Abrol, senior NC leader and social activists was the chief guest while Dr Vikas Sharma presided over the function, which was organized by NSF president Sukhdev Singh.
Speaking on the occasion Ankush Abrol appreciated the efforts of NSF members to come forward and organize this tribute paying function.
Dr Vikas Sharma threw light on the lift history of Lala Lajpat Rai, his struggle and supreme sacrifice for independence of the nation.
