JAMMU, Dec 6:  Alleging unprecedented bias with Jammu region in the process of selections conducted by SSB, PSC and other recruiting agencies for Govt jobs in the incumbent BJP-PDP Govt, scores of Panthers Party activists led by Harsh Dev Singh, party chairman and former minister held a massive protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground, here today.
The agitated protesters while raising anti-Government and anti-BJP slogans set ablaze the  “25- headed monster” of Saffron brigade symbolizing the same number of BJP MLAs for its despicable surrenders before the Kashmir centric leaders to enjoy the crumbs of power.
Expressing indignation over the highly biased selection list issued by SSB for the posts of Junior Assistants as published recently, Harsh Dev pointed out another glaring example of most hostile discrimination administered to the youth of Jammu Pradesh with 27 out of the total 28 selected candidates in the open category for the said State cadre posts in the Civil Secretariat belonged to Kashmir region and only 1 candidate from Jammu region. He said that the magnitude of bias in BJP partnered Govt against Jammu had sent shock waves all across the province.
He further divulged that out of nine posts of Junior Assistants in RBA category, only 1 candidate from Jammu region was selected and the remaining eight candidates were picked up from the Valley thereby, causing serious embitterment among the young fraternity of Jammu province. While accusing BJP for shamefully surrendering itself before the Kashmir centric leadership for the power avarice, Singh said that the BJP had not only bartered away the pride and honour of the people of Jammu region but also their erstwhile negligible share in services for loaves of power.
He said that since the BJP had been exposed for its perfidious and double faced character, it had lost the moral right to continue in the Government.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Balwant Singh Mankotia, Rajesh Padgotra, Gagan Partap Singh, Parshotam Parihar, Shanker Singh Chib, Shyam Gorkha, Shakti Singh, Neeraj Gupta, Rajesh Gondhi and others.
