JAMMU, Dec 8: Demanding construction of multistory parking outside Bawe Wali Mata Temple, National Panthers Party (NPP) held protest here today.
Large number of NPP activists led by Zonal President Neeraj Gupta assembled at Transport Yard Narwal and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
While speaking, Gupta said that the BJP-PDP Government had not taken any appropriate steps to promote the temples and other tourist spots of Jammu.
He added that previous Governments have failed to develop the tourist spots of the Jammu especially temple places which results in the failure of tourism industry in the Jammu.
He said that the historical Bawe Mali Mata Temple and Mohmaya Temple were developed by Jagmohan, ex-Governor of J&K during his tenure. “At present, there is insufficient provision of parking outside these temples, due to which the devotees are compelled to go back to their homes without performing the pooja and darshan”, he added.
He said that the link road which connects the temples with the highway is very narrow and not in good condition. He demanded fool proof security arrangements at historical Bawe Wali Mata temple.
Gupta appealed to Governor to take some effective measures for the construction of multistory parking outside Bawe Wali Mata temple.
Among others present were Amar Chand, Ravinder Singh, Devinder Singh, Surat Lal, Surinder Singh, etc.
