JAMMU, Aug 23:  Drawing the attention of the Education Minister towards some irregularities in the transfers of teachers/ masters in the Education Department, NPP leader Harsh Dev Singh today alleged that some glaring cases have come to his notice in Jammu division.
In a press statement here today,  Harsh Dev alleged that  some violations of norms and procedures have been noticed in the transfers recently. He claimed that some plum postings were put to open auction by the officers enjoying political patronage, with none to take cognizance of their unusual conduct. He called for the personal indulgence of the Education Minister so as to ascertain the allegations.
Calling for fair and impartial probe, NPP leader  alleged that the transfer lists of masters revealed large scale ‘zero’ km transfers and pre-mature transfers in blatant violation of transfer norms which were reported to have been made on monetary considerations.
Expressing concern over the nasty transfers, he said that there were instances where the masters serving in the two schools sharing a common boundary were transferred from one premise to the other on extraneous considerations. Likewise, there were several glaring examples of pick and choose with several transferred pre-maturely.
