JAMMU, Dec 23: Miran Sahib Police has booked a notorious drug peddler in Prevention of Immoral Trafficking in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS).
As per police sources, accused namely Jaipreet Singh alias Honey, son of Joginder Singh of Digiana was taken in preventive custody to Kot Bhalwal jail when he got absconded to evade arrest from his PIT NDPS Dozier.
He was arrested by a dedicated team of police led by PSI Altaf Ahmed from Uttar Pradesh and assisted by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Mirza Sultan after he was tracked from Bijnore district of Uttar Pradesh.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jaipreet Singh was previously involved in number of FIRs for drugs peddling and was continuing with his illegal activities of narcotics peddling.
Jammu Police is in the process of making more PIT NDPS Dozier for some more drug peddlers who are involved in drugs peddling.
The overall operation was done under the supervision of SDPO Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta.
