JAMMU, Dec 23: Kanachack Police arrested a man for selling illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information about sale of illicit liquor near Sua Number 1 and Doomi areas, a team from Police Station Kanachack led by SHO Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal conducted raid and apprehended a man along with 46 quarters of illicit liquor and Rs 1250, which is assumed to be earned by selling liquor.
The arrested person was identified as Ram Charan, son of Dashrat of Chhattisgarh, at present Bawa Talab District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 175/2021 under Section 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
