JAMMU : In view of closing of Durbar move offices in Jammu on 24th and 25th April, it has been decided to permit only up convoys (i.e. from Jammu to Srinagar) for two days viz 25th and 26th April, 2015.
No down convoy (from Srinagar to Jammu) will be permitted on the these dates. Army and paramilitary forces convoys shall also not be allowed to ply from Srinagar to Jammu on there dates.
Similarly, it has been decided to permit up convoys (from Jammu to Srinagar) on 3rd and 4th May, to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles carrying Durbar move employees from Jammu to Srinagar as the offices are opening at Srinagar on 5th of May, 2015. No down traffic from Srinagar to Jammu including the convoys of Army/Para-Military forces will be permitted to ply on these dates, under any circumstances.
Traffic Police has made elaborate arrangements for smooth movement of convoys consisting of Durbar move vehicles carrying important records and other related items etc.
