No space for groupism in Cong: Azad

JAMMU,  Sept 21: Former Union Health Minister and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad today said that there was no space for groupism in Congress and every worker is duty bound to strengthen the Party.
While interacting with a delegation of party functionaries by PCC chief  Ghulam Ahmed Mir today,  Mr Azad said  there is no space for groupism in Congress. He said every Congress worker and leader is duty bound to strengthen the Party further He asked the party functionaries to work with enthusiasm for the development of the State and people.
After concluding the Kissan rally at New Delhi, a delegation of  JKPCC vice presidents, general secretaries, MLAs, MLCs,  District presidents and other party functionaries of  PCC  led by  GA Mir called on Mr Azad and general secretary AICC Ambika Soni MP at their residences in New Delhi.
The delegation held ‘threadbare’ discussions with regard to socio- political developments in the State.  Many issues of public interest came under discussion. The delegation expressed concern over the chaotic situation arising due to misrule and mishandling of situations by the Coalition Govt in the State and also discussed the strategies to be adopted by the Party under the present prevailing circumstances and ahead.
PCC chief explained in detail the efforts of  the PCC about vigorously seeking resolution of the problems confronting people in all the three regions of the State.
Congress will remain steadfast in serving the people   to the best of  its ability for the fact it  is an instrument of service to the people, he said.
Mir  expressed confidence about the role being played by the Party as a constructive opposition and said Congress Party is doing everything possible to bring J&K State out of confusion created due to contradiction in the approach of PDP and BJP towards the State and people.
Mr  Azad  told the Party functionaries that there is no space for groupism in the Congress. The party is united enough, every primary worker or leader should put a united face and work with enthusiasm for the overall development of the State and strengthening the party, he said.
Describing Congress  as future of the country and State,  Azad asked the Party cadres to educate the masses about the programmes and pro- people polices of  Party. He  asked them  to work with dedication for its implementation.
