No one objected earlier when Fadnavis was projected as CM: Shah

NEW DELHI: Attacking the Shiv Sena, BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday said no one in the Shiv Sena objected when he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi repeatedly asserted in public about Devendra Fadnavis being the Chief Ministerial candidate of the alliance.

Breaking his silence on the political developments in Maharashtra, Mr Shah said Sena ‘s demand for Chief Minister was new. He maintained that these demands were not acceptable to the BJP.

Shah told a news channel that Shiv Sena leaders came up with new demands after the results were declared. ”Many a times in public BJP said that if the alliance wins then Devendra Fadnavis will be the CM, no one objected back then. Now they have come up with new demands which are not acceptable to us,” he said. (AGENCIES)
