POONCH, Nov 5: In the absence of Gynaecologist in Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Mendhar, the people of Mendhar and its other villages are suffering severely for last over one year.
Official sources said that the post of Gynaecologist is lying vacant for last one Year in Sub District Hospital Mendhar. Despite repeated requests by the people of the area, the post was not filled up.
” The worst sufferers are women, as in the absence of Gynaecologist, many delivery cases are either referred to District Hospital Rajouri or Poonch, which are quite far”, the sources added.
When contacted Block Medical Officer, Mendhar, Dr Parvez Ahmed Khan said, “It is true, the Gynaecologist’s post is lying vacant in the hospital and the people are suffering due to this. Government should pay attention to this and take immediate steps to fill up this vacant post, so that proper and timely treatment could be given to the needy patients, ” he added.
