No death of funds in Ladakh UT: CEC

LEH, Mar 5: Chairman cum Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Gyal. P Wangyal congratulated people for getting decades old demand “UT for Ladakh” fulfilled under Narendra Modi Government and said that coming generation of Ladakh will get the real benefit of UT.
Addressing large number of gathering at Skurbuchan, CEC Wangyal asked the people to impart quality education to the students. He said that during erstwhile J&K Government even CEC and ECs of Hill Councils have to wait for months to get appointment to meet with CM and Governor of J&K, but now even general public can meet with LG Ladakh at Leh itself.
On the second day of his three day tour of Khaltsi Sub Division, today CEC along with Executive Councilor for Agriculture, Phuntosg Stanzin, district and sub divisional level offices and engineers headed by SDM, Khaltsi Tsering Motup visited Urbis, Skurbuchan, Domkhar-Dho, Domkhar-Barma, Domkhar -Yokma, Kurambik, and Takmachik villages.
Wangyal said that now all genuine pending demands would be fulfilled in near future as their will be no dearth of funds in Ladakh UT. He said that Hill Council Leh is already aware of all pending demands of different villages’ specially far-off and remote villages and to fulfill demands besides Rs. 234 crore under Capex Budget 2020-21 for Council, every Panchayats have Rs. 60 lacs budget to carry out developmental works at grass root level.
Wangyal said that now the concern of Council is to use the allocated budget timely based on which further flow of funds will depend and appealed people’s representatives and villages to support Government executing agencies and village Panchayats in execution of developmental works.
Executive Councilor for Agriculture Phuntsog Stanzin addressing public gathering at Skurbuchan and listed number of major and minor works completed in last four years and updated people about the status of ongoing projects, new projects and future plans.
CEC and EC informed people about number of schemes launched by Modi Government including PM Kisan Man Dhan Yojana, PM Surakash Bima Yojna, KCC, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Jal Jeevan Mission etc and appealed people to take maximum benefit from such schemes.
Earlier, in the morning CEC, EC and district officers along with Councilor Lamayuru Morup Dorjey visited Urbis and in the afternoon they visited Domkhar-Dho, Domkhar-Barma, Domkhar -Yokma, Kurambik and Takmachik villages of Lamayuru constituency and listened to the demands of the people.
