JAMMU, Nov 17: The J&K chapter of National Medicos Organization (NMO) today organized one-day free medical check-up cum health awareness camps in Jammu.
These camps were held in entire 30 Sewa Bastis falling in 15 ‘Nagars’ of Jammu ‘Mahanagar’ targeting the poor and marginalized population residing in these areas. More than 50 doctors and 100 medical students provided their voluntary and selfless services in these medical camps.
During the camps, more than 3000 patients were provided free medicines and diagnostic facilities. Apart from NMO, other prominent social organizations who participated in these camps were Sewa Bharti, Arogya Bharti, Vishav Ayurvedic Parishad, Jammu Institute of Ayurveda & Research and Sewa Vibhaag of Jammu ‘Mahanagar’.
