JAMMU, Apr 20: While projecting pending issues of the daily rated workers, National Mazdoor Conference leader Subhash Shastri today urged upon the State Finance Minister to allot wage Head in each department of the State Government for regular disbursement of wages of 61,000 daily rated workers.
Addressing a meeting of the NMC activists here Shastri said that neither daily rated workers were regularised nor their legitimate wages released. They all the suffering badly. He hoped that PDP-BJP regime would take appropriate and favourable decision in this regard.
Stressing upon the need for regularization of the services of 61000 daily rated workers, Shastri hoped that the long pending demand of the daily rated workers for their regularization will be met before May Day as a gift to the workers class. Pleading the cause of 3660 daily rated wagers who fall under SRO 64, Shastri further demanded their regularization.
He also urged upon the Finance Minister to release 6 % DA due from January last to the employees of State Government and pensioners, enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 1000 per month, clearing all the pending GP Fund bills pending in various Treasuries etc.
