JAMMU, Nov 16: Emphasizing on the need for early release of two pending installments of 17 per cent DA, president of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today urged the State Government to expedite formalities for issuing necessary orders with regard to release of these installments of DA to the State Government employees and pensioners.
Addressing a largely attended rally of the NMC activists here, Shastri stated that in view of the inbuilt provisions in the annual budget, there should not be any hitch for the State Government, more so when others states have already released the DA installment since long.
While pleading the cause of poor daily rated workers, Shastri also asked the main stream political parties to make their respective stand clear regarding regularization of the services of 62 thousand causal, seasonal laborers, adhoc and contractual employees of the State Government.
“This will be a major political issue in the ensuing election of State assembly and will be a pivotal issue in deciding the fate of many candidates in all 87 constituencies”, he added.
