JAMMU, Mar 19: President National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri on Tuesday urged the Governor to make amendments in SRO-520.
Addressing NMC Workers at village Khamb in R.S Pura today, Shastri said that SRO-520 needs amendments to include provision of wages for need base, casual and seasonal laborers as these have been included in the list of daily rated workers through biometric identification but are not being paid against any wages head.
He demanded release of pending wages of need based and other workers immediately.
Stressing on the need for enhancing medical allowance for State pensioners on the analogy of Central Government pattern, Shastri urged the Governor administration to enhance the same to Rs 3000 per month.
He also demanded enhancing of wages of daily rated workers to Rs. 500 per day, setting up of National Wage Commission to evolve national pay policy throughout the country once for all, release of 7th pay commission arrears in one go to the state pensioners in April 2019, strict implementation of CP funds deduction to daily rated workers working in various departments of the State Government and issuance of orders of remaining daily rated workers working in the Rural Development Department of Jammu region.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Ram Singh, Paramjit, Sudesh Bhagat and others were also present in the meeting.
