It is really a matter of great satisfaction that the National Institute Of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has secured first position in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and also 59th in India Institute Framework Ranking (IIRF) which assumes its importance looking to the total number of “contesting aspirants ” being 3500. This ranking is based on reckoning the performance on various parameters including teaching -learning process, placement performance, research ,pedagogy , international outlook and other crucial factors. Needless to add, the Institute was established as back as in the year 1960 and being one of the 31 premier institutes of the country and thus being directly under the control of the Ministry of Education has acquired the status of a University. In fact, to be precise, therefore, it is expected of it to come with more flying colours keeping in view the best of infrastructure including experienced and quality faculty members provided to it in the enchanting picturesque landscape of cool Chinars on the banks of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar.
In fact, the Director of the Institute while congratulating the faculty members, the students , non-teaching staff and the Nodal Officer for IIRF 2022 has expressed the hope that lot more needs to be done as ”such results are encouraging” sends the message of maintaining the levels of standard in each wing of various disciplines of the Institute. While we extend our felicitations to all concerned, we stress upon the fact that in the present era of fast competition, innovative measures, research and technology – only the best can move ahead and keep on progressing while less performing ones striving to merely surviving in the system.
