JAMMU, Sept 17: To observe the “Nirvaan Ardhshatabdi” of Shri Shri 1008 Yogiraj Shri Ram Ji Lal Ji Maharaj, SS Jain Sabha Jammu organized a function at Abhinav Theatre, here.
Paying glowing tributes to Yogiraj Shri Ram Ji Lal Ji Maharaj, Jain Acharya Subhadra Muni Maharaj said that to lead a successful and peaceful life, there is need of a guru or spiritual leader who plays the role of a guide or philosopher and for all this Yogiraj preached for yoga, meditation, sacrifice and love.
He appealed the misguided youth of Kashmir to shun violence and dedicate themself for peace, progress and prosperity of the State.
Addressing the disciples, who had came from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP and Rajasthan, Acharya Subhadra Muni said that the violence in the garb of religion should be rejected by the civilized society.
The chief guest of the function Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta along with JAKFED Vice Chairman Munish Sharma released a book on the life and preaching of Yogiraj Shri Ram Ji Lal Ji.
Minister of State for Education and Tourism Priya Sethi said that she is highly impressed by the teachings and preaching of Jain saints, who preach for love, peace and non violence.
State BJP Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, while addressing the audience praised the community for their active participation in social and economic progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
The visiting dignitaries also honoured Hari Muni Maharaj by offering a ‘chadder’, who was on fast for 81 days.
The proceedings of the function were jointly conducted by Amit Muni Maharaj and General Secretary, SS Jain Sabha, Raman Jain.
