JAMMU, Apr 24: With the blessings of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj a massive blood donation camp was organized by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Shastri Nagar Jammu, today on eve of Manav Ekta Divas in remembrance of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Maharaj and other missionaries in collaboration with Blood and Transfusion Department of GMC Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.
The camp was inaugurated by Bali Bhagat, Minister for Health and Medical Education and Danish Rana IPS, Inpector General of Police Jammu was the Guest of Honor. 300 units of blood was donated by devotees of Sant Nirankari Mission Jammu fulfilling the dream of Satguru that “blood should flow in veins not in drains”. There were anxious moments to watch when some devotees were not allowed to donate blood on grounds of health, age, etc. and were found weeping and insisting for donation of blood to fulfill their pledge to obey orders of The Satguru.
The other dignitaries who graced the occasion included Sarita Chauhan, Commissioner Secretary to Govt, Social Welfare Department, S P Varma President Gandhi Global Family, R C Puri Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Dr Vijay Sawhney HoD, Dr Renu Bala, Dr Kajal from Blood Bank, Dr Salim Rehman Director JKSACS and Anil K Padha Founder Chairman Young Blood Association.
The huge Sadh Sangat of about six thousand devotees and renowned dignitaries of all shades of life participated in the holy congregation where sermons were delivered by devotee saints and distinguished guests.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge SNM Jammu, extended his gratitude to all for making the blood donation camp a success with special thanks to the Minister and IGP Jammu for sparing their valuable time to grace the occasion.
The congregation was followed by Guru ka Langar and refreshment for guests.
