REASI, Apr 9: In a rarest among rare cases, a bridegroom tested positive for the Coronavirus a few days before his marriage, entered into wedlock with his bride through video conferencing.
Manir, who hails from Kotla village in the district, was scheduled to be married on April 8 with Razia Biwi of Panasa village of Bandhar Panchayat. Manir who operates horse on the Shivkhori track, was recently tested positive for Covid-19 during testing at Shivkhori after which he isolated at home.
As he was about to marry on April 8, the Maulvi got the Nikaah read online by adding the groom through video conferencing at the bride’s house. Few relatives of bridegroom also came to Razia house but without bridegroom.
It was agreed by both the families that the bride will be sent to bridegroom’s house after the latter tests negative for COVID-19.
