DODA, May 5: Former Minister and senior PCC leader Mohammed Sharief Niaz has strongly criticized the PDP-BJP Coalition and alleged that this Government has miserably failed to address genuine issues of the public, especially in Bhaderwah and Doda belt.
Mr Niaz, who conducted extensive tour of some areas of Bhaderwah constituency was apprised of the problems of the area by the locals. During his tour he also addressed number of public and Congress workers’ meetings at different places and also met a number of public deputations. The Congress leader listened them patiently and assured them that he will make utmost struggle and efforts to solve all their genuine demands.
The former minister said that he has first time observed and experienced in his long political career that the present BJP-PDP regime has crossed all limits of political victimization and political revenge. Congress workers are harassed, debarred to get jobs by the officers on the instruction and instigation of some of ministers, MLAs, contesting and even defeated candidates and ordinary workers of ruling parties. Officers are threatened to face the consequences in case they solved the problems of Congress workers.
Govt employees belonging to Congress families are victimized. They are transferred to far off places. Moreover, these employees are also directed that in future they will have to work openly for ruling parties. MLAs, leaders and workers of ruling party categorically say that they will work only for those who voted for them in election.
Niaz said that democracy in Chenab valley in general and Bhaderwah constituency in particular has been murdered. Fundamental rights granted to people by the constitution of India have been scraped at the cruel hands of present coalition Govt. Teachers, masters and lecturers belonging to Congress families have been transferred to faraway places from their localities. There is great hue and cry against the Education Department and people demand that in case the politically motivated transfers in Education Department and other departments are not modified they will start agitation against this injustice.
The people complained during the tour that MGNREGA payment for the year 2013, 2014, and 2015 has not been made to all job holders. Wages of all daily wagers PC workers and casual labourers of all departments be made at an earliest, they demanded.
