JAMMU, Aug 24: All programme management staff working under Centrally sponsored scheme, National Health Mission, today lodged a protest against criteria fixed for salary hike, prepared in the office of State Health Society.
The protest was held under the umbrella of Programme Management Unit Union (PMUU). The employees of Programme Management Unit expressed resentment over hike in salary of NHM employees based on pick and choose policy.
They condemned the criteria fixed for salary hike prepared in the office of State Health Society under which a section of employees will get 35% hike and other section 15%, resulting a huge disparity in the salary. They condemned the Mission Director, NHM, for his failure in projection of uniformity in salary component to all category of staff working under NHM.
The Union urged the Commissioner, HME Depart-ment to issue instructions to Mission Director for ensuring equal percentage of salary hike, in the executive committee meeting, scheduled to be held next week. The Union also urged for regularization of NHM staff as per guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
