NHM employees’ delegation meets Advisor to MoS Home

SRINAGAR, Jan 23: A deputation of All JK NHM Employees Association met Advisor to Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy at Circuit House, here today and projected the demands of the Association.
The deputation, which was led by advisor of the association Adnam Amin Bhat, briefed the Advisor about the long pending demands of the NHM employees working in J&K.
During the half-hour meeting with the Advisor to the Union Minister, the deputation apprised him about various problems and demands of NHM employees and discussed the issue of regulation of NHM employees.
The deputation also submitted a charter of demands to the OSD which includes regularization of all categories of NHM employees with wage grade similar to their counter parts in the health departments, enhancement of salary of NHM staff of UT of Jammu & Kashmir to make it as par with NHM staff of Delhi and Haryana, grant of leave benefits on the analogy of the states of Orissa and Tripura and release of salary of the NHM staff for the agitation/termination period as agreed upon during negotiations.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the demands put forth by the NHM delegation and assured them that he will try to resolve the issues by talking to senior officers in Delhi.
Among others present in the deputation were Fayaz Ahmed Mir (district president NHM) and Manjoor Ahmed Bhat (member, NHM).
