NGSEA for redressal of demands

JAMMU, June 20: A meeting of J&K Statistical Non-Gazetted Employees Association (NGSEA) was held under the chairmanship of P S Jamwal with Director General, Economic and Statistics, J&K, R A Bandey and urged upon to redress their demands as the earliest, today.
In a meeting with Mr Banday at Bamina, Srinagar, Jamwal deliberated various issues pertaining to Planning and Statistical cadre and urged him to take necessary steps to address their issues without delay.
The issues pertained creation of welfare fund for planning and statistical cadre, removal of pay anomaly of JSAs and SAs, DPC of I/C SOs, SAs and JSAs, promotion of SO to ADs, ASs to SOs etc, Quasi permanent order of JSAs, SAs and SOs, training of JSAs, refresher course for SOs instead of examination, vigilance clearance of the officers/officials who are likely to be promoted as DDs, ADs, SOs, SAs well in advance.
Other issues raised included re-designation of SOs, ADs, SOs and SAs as Planning and Statistical Officer, Planning and Statistical Assistant and Planning Assistant etc, Disposal of in Situ promotions cases of all employees who are due for the same and regularization of consolidated/ casual/daily wagers who have completed seven years of service, etc.
Jamwal requested the DG, E&S to take up the matter with Government for their early re-dressal so that the long pending demands of the cadre can be addressed.
Mr Banday gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the demands projected by the association would be addressed at an earliest.
Among other present in the meeting were H R Bhagat, Joint Director (Central), Dr H S Arora, Joint Director (Survey) and Showkat Ahmad Shah and V P Kashmir.
