Srinagar, Apr 7: Police have registered a case after a woman alleged that her baby went missing after she gave birth to a twin in the Valley’s main maternity hospital, Lal Ded Memorial Hospital, today.
A pregnant woman Rabiya Banoo wife of Abdul Rashid Khandey resident of Larapora, Bandipora was admitted in Lal Ded Hospital on Saturday evening after Government District Hospital Bandipora referred her here.
Khanday said here that he was astonished when the hospital staff handed him only a baby girl. He along with the attendants of other patients came out on the main road in protest.
Khanday alleged that his wife has given birth to a male baby as well. Police registered a case (FIR 21/2013) and have started investigations.
